The “Family Vacation Keepsake" Gift:

• Novel for how it was produced on-the-go

• Fun way to savor and continually bond over a vacation

• Milks an experience for future gifts (similar to 🎁 How to milk a dinner date)

There are two flavors of the vacation keepsake gift:

1. Post-vacation gift – You give the gift at a later occasion (anniversary, Christmas, etc.)

2. Vacation gift – You give the gift while you’re on vacation (like Lynne did with the photo album)

Unique vacation keepsake gifts:

• Hire a local photographer to take family photos (book ahead of your trip)

• Create a crossword puzzle or trivia game based on your share vacation experience with them (inspired by 🎁 9 letter word for free thoughtful gift)

• Recreate foods you had while on vacation (similar to 🎁 I stole from your mom, not sorry)

• Curate a vacation music playlist of songs that were played during vacation (see 🎁 Viva la mixtape: free, but priceless)

Nature crafts for vacation keepsakes gifts:

• For example:

  • Sand keepsake bottle

  • Sand Christmas ornament

  • Pressed flowers or leaves frame

• As a vacation gift – great for keeping kids busy during a rainy day on vacation

• As a post-vacation gift – secretly collect objects (sand, rocks, flowers) and craft the keepsakes upon your return to give as future gifts

• If you see a loved one eyeing a vacation souvenir that they won’t get for themselves, secretly get it for them and give it to them as a future gift
