THE GIFT STORY
šTHE GIFT:
The āgift cardās fun cousin" Gift
Gift cards are generally practical, but boring gifts to give. As their gifts, my nieces & nephews often ask for gift cards. It makes sense ā their generation doesnāt shop in-person (so cash isnāt all that useful) and they donāt have credit cards to make online purchases. Iām happy to get them what they wantā¦but I came up with a plan for maintaining my identify as a fun uncle (funcle) by ordering them personalized Visa gift cards. In addition, instead of having them unwrap the gift cards, Iām going to shove them into balloons for them to pop.

š§GIFT-GIVING GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
For anyone thinking āI donāt like giving gift cards because it feels like trading money or that itās less thoughtfulā ā
Hopefully, todayās edition helps alleviate those concerns, but know that I can totally relate to this feeling. When I feel that these notions are influencing my gift-giving decision, I do my best to stick to this gift-giving guiding principle:
When gift-giving, prioritize giving someone what they want over what you want to give them.

šPUTTING THE GIFT IDEA INTO ACTION:
