šTHE GIFT:
The āReincarnationā Gift
Early in our relationship with my now-wife, we were traveling out-of-state and stopped at an antique shop. A retro E.T. water glass caught her attention, so I bought it for her. As the years went by, that cup was a subtle, but constant source of warm memories for both of us. She especially loved that thing. One day, the glass broke. My wife sadly came to terms that the E.T. glass chapter of our lives was over. Not long after, I had the idea to check eBay to see if I could find the same glass. Bingo. The look on her face when I gave her the replacement was priceless and now every time we use it, we get to enjoy the memory of the original cup plus the memory of giving her the new one.....
